FAIS Ombud: ICT Graduate Training Programme 2024

The Office of the Ombud for Financial Services Providers (FAIS Ombud) invites applications for the ICT Graduate Training Programme 2024.

Closing date: 21 June 2024

Duration – The duration of the programme is twelve (12) months.

Location: The FAIS Ombud offices in the east of Pretoria in Gauteng.

About the Graduate Trainee Programme

The objective of the FAIS Ombud is to consider and dispose of complaints in a procedurally fair, informal, economical, and expeditious manner and by reference to what is equitable in all circumstances.

In order to discharge its mandate, the FAIS Ombud seeks to appoint Graduate Trainees as part of the Graduate Training Programme.

This is a structured programme specifically designed to produce a pipeline of competent trainee entrants to the labour market.

Roll out of the Programme: Recommended candidates will be given an opportunity to learn under a dedicated mentor. Graduates will be assigned to the ICT Department and exposed to various competency-based training.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Information Technology /Computer Science or equivalent qualification.
  • South African citizen with a valid South African Identity document.
  • Passion for public service and an interest/desire to work in the Financial Sector.

  • Strong academic background and high levels of integrity.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment, willingness to learn and work extra hours.
  • Energetic, self-driven and deadline driven.
  • Must be computer literate.
