Selection Criteria
Applications for bursaries are open to all candidates from the local community that meets the following minimum criteria:
- a university exemption pass for Grade 12 – a minimum Grade 12 “C” symbol in Mathematics, Physical Science and English
- Students currently busy with studies at the university with 60% averages in all subjects may also apply
- Attach academic record or proof of acceptance letter form university
- Universities:
- University of Cape Town,
- University of Johannesburg,
- University of Pretoria
- University of the North West (Potchefstroom)
- WITS
Valid medical certificate or be medically fit in order to obtain such a certificate.

- Leadership potential, combined with the ability to work in a team.
- Good problem-solving skills
- Ability to make decisions and think logically.
- Self-motivated, and good communication skills.

MARULA BURSARY COVERS THE FOLLOWING:
- Registration & Tuition Fees
- Residence & Meal Fees,
- Cash Allowance and mentorship support.
- Personal Computer allowance for second year students
How to Apply
NOTE: Once you have been successful from an interview, you will be required to undergo Psychometric Assessments.
An invitation to Psychometric Assessments will be sent once a university admission letter has been provided.
