South African Breweries: In-Service Traineeships 2024

The South African Breweries (SAB) invites applications for In-Service Trainee opportunities.

Final year students who are completing National Diploma studies in the relevant fields and who possess critical thinking ability are invited to apply.

About the In-Service Trainee Programme

The traineeship is an opportunity for students who are required to undergo experiential training as part of their curriculum.

Students will enter into a 12 month, fixed term contract with Caledon Maltings during which they will undergo both on-the-job and off-the-job learning to complete their qualification.

Logistics In-Service Traineeship

The key purpose of this role is to support the Logistics department in providing service to the value chain.

Key outputs and responsibilities:

  • Maintain equipment & workplace
  • Analyze samples
  • Communicate results timeously
  • Support the value chain
  • Report non-conformances
  • Contribute to continued Quality improvement initiatives
  • Work in teams
  • Enhance and develop skills by completing tertiary requirements

Candidate Profile:

  • Final year student completing National Diploma in Commercial, Supply Chain, Logistics studies
  • Communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Mental alertness and judgment
  • Problem solving skills
  • Precision and accuracy
  • Attention to detail
  • Numeracy
  • MS Office proficiency.

People In-Service Traineeship

The key purpose of this role is to support the People practices, processes and reporting for all departments within a Maltings Plant with the objective to drive plant performance.

Key roles and responsibilities:

  • Report non-conformances
  • Contribute to continued Quality improvement initiatives
