Abour SANCCOB

Southern African Foundation for the Conservation of Coastal Birds is a leading marine conservation non-profit organisation.

It is an international non-profit organization committed to the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of seabirds in Southern Africa.

SANCCOB’s main goal is to protect seabirds, with a special emphasis on the African penguin as the key species of interest, as well as other related marine species once identified.

SANCCOB collaborates with colony managers to pinpoint birds requiring assistance in their natural habitat and transport them to either of our two seabird rehabilitation centers in South Africa: Cape Town (Western Cape) and Gqeberha (Eastern Cape).
